BIO
I'm a physician-scientist trainee from Texas, born to immigrant parents from Bangladesh and Peru. I studied physics and math at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, contributing to research in fields including nanoscience and physical-chemistry. After pursuing a medical degree at McGovern Medical School, I became interested in artificial intelligence and completed a PhD in Quantitative Sciences, where I applied AI to improve cancer diagnosis and treatment. Subsequently, I pursued a post-doctoral fellowship studying the role of human-machine interaction in AI-based radiotherapy decision-making. I am currently a 4th year medical student. I plan to start radiation oncology residency in 2026.
